Pauline I. Turner

 

Normal – Pauline I. Turner, 89 of Normal passed away at 6:09 PM on Sunday December 31, 2017 at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington.


There will be a graveside service for Pauline at Hopewell Cemetery in Downs at a later date. Beck Memorial Home in Bloomington is handling arrangements.

Pauline was born December 31, 1928 in Bloomington to Albert Monroe and Zella Mae Winslow Fogler. She married Charles Turner on February 20, 1947 in St. Louis. She is survived by six children, David (Christine) Turner of Heyworth, James Turner of Bloomington, Charles Turner Jr of Normal, Theresa (Gene) McDaniel of Cushing, OK, Paula Flurer of Normal, Lori (Brian) Snow of McLean, nineteen grandchildren, thirty-one great-grandchildren, and five siblings, Louise Harpster of Bloomington, Shirley (Kenny) Kindred of Atlanta, Donna Mae (Tommy) Nowlin of Heyworth, Mary (Owen) True of Heyworth and Marvin (Sue) Whitlock of Wapella.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, one daughter, two sisters, and two brothers.

For many years Pauline worked as a waitress in several central Illinois restaurants and also worked in Food Service at Illinois State University. She was a member of Downs United Methodist Church. Pauline loved spending time with family and friends and was a lifelong avid Cubs fan.
